Movie Night

For a while now we have been enjoying movie night every Sunday as a family.  As we progressed through a series of Sunday night movies I have been rebuked several times.  It typically goes something like this...

Me...using the laptop

Josiah: "Dad, this is movie night as a family, are you watching?

Me...cleaning the kitchen

Josiah: "Mom, pause it until dad comes back"

Me...looking at a magazine

Josiah: "dad did you see that, maybe we should rewind it"

I have since learned that paying attention during movie night is necessary, even though I might spend more time watching the kids enjoying this once/week entertainment.
